World-renowned concert pianist Sara Davis Buechner talks about her Yamaha AvantGrand N2 Hybrid Piano, an instrument that combines digital sounds with acoustic piano keyboard action.
World renowned pianist Sara Davis Buechner talks about her brand new Yamaha AvantGrand N2, a Hybrid Piano that features the keyboard action of a premium acoustic instrument and digital sounds of the Yamaha CFX concert grand piano that never needs to be tuned. Thanks to its compact size, the AvantGrand N2 fits comfortably into her bedroom, and its headphones/silent feature allows her to practice at all hours of the night without disturbing anyone. Its keyboard action is as good as - if not superior - to some of the very best premium pianos that she has played on, enabling her to get the maximum response for her intense 3-9 hour practice sessions. Her new AvantGrand N2 replaced her Yamaha GrandTouch, an earlier hybrid piano that she used reliably for 20 years. Sara recently joined the piano faculty at Temple University, and became one of the first American Yamaha artists after she won a bronze medal at the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition. She was also a Gold Medal winner at the 1984 Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. For more information, visit Sara's website at http://saradavisbuechner.com/
