Recital Season at Cunningham Music School

Recital Season at Cunningham Music School

It’s recital season at Cunningham Music School! Our students are working hard on their repertoire in preparation for their upcoming recitals on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st. Music programs in all of the schools around the area are gearing up for their spring concerts, and lesson studios are practicing hard! But why do our music teachers make us go through this difficult and sometimes scary process year after year? Here are 4 powerful reasons and benefits for performing recitals: 1. Performing music in front of others is an important part of learning to play an instrument. 2. Performance requires discipline; in order to successfully perform in front of an audience, a student has to practice their piece over and over until they know it completely from front to back. 3. Performance requires confidence, and will help to build confidence and self-esteem over time as each following recital is a success. And most importantly, 4. Performance requires all of us, the teachers, the parents, and the friends and families to come together and support our growing musicians! Please keep your fingers crossed for all of our performers at 6pm and 7:30pm on Friday, May 20th, and at 6pm on Saturday, May 21st in the King of Prussia Cunningham Piano showroom.
