Discover the inspiring story of pianist Eric Wortham II, who has collaborated with icons such as Adele, Jill Scott, and Seal. Learn how he overcame the challenge of limited access to a piano and how a Germantown location played a pivotal role in his journey to success.
Eric Wortham II was raised in the Germantown/Mt. Airy area of Philadelphia, where he developed a deep love for music at a young age. Although his family's piano was old and not in optimal working condition, Eric's talent and passion for the instrument necessitated more practice. This prompted him to seek out alternative means of access to a piano, leading him to visit Cunningham Piano Company's Germantown location where he could practice.
Eric's hard work and dedication to his craft paid off as he went on to collaborate with renowned artists such as Jill Scott, Seal, and most notably, Adele for the past eight years. In a recent appearance on NBC10 with Jacqueline London, Eric recounted his experiences growing up and playing for some of the world's greatest singers.
Eric credits his success as a pianist to the opportunities that he was afforded at Cunningham Piano Company's Germantown location, where he was able to practice when he did not have access to an instrument. We are deeply touched by his acknowledgement of our role in his journey, and we are proud to have played a part in fostering his talent.
